Most doctors and dentists are unaware of two important but under-diagnosed causes of TMJ pain.
The first cause is "Head Forward Posture"a hunched or stooped posture of the upper body and neck.
This mis-alignment puts tremendous stress on the jaw joints, causing pain and inflammation.
The second cause of TMJ pain is hyperactive firing of an area of the brain called the Midbrain (mesencephalon). When the Midbrain fires too much, the jaw muscles tense up. Over time the TMJ becomes stiff and painful and can cause face pain, neck pain, and headaches.
