Multiple Sclerosis
The problem in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the destruction of myelin around nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Myelin around nerve cells is like the insulation around an electrical cord. If the insulation is damaged the nerve signals will be damaged and cause symptoms. This damaging process is call "de-myelination."
In Multiple Sclerosis the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the myelinthis is an "autoimmune" attack. The latest research shows that is autoimmune attack is "triggered."
Common triggers include:
- Viral, bacterial, parasite infection
- Environmental toxins such as chemicals and metals
- Physical trauma and psychological stress
Symptoms of MS depend on what areas are being de-myelinated (attacked). Many persons have numbness, tingling, weakness, dizziness, coordination and balance problems.
About 50% of MS victims have difficulties with concentration, attention, memory, depression and poor judgement.
The good news is these problems can be helped and even eliminated--but only if treated correctly by
- Calming and balancing the immune system
- Removing the triggers
- Strengthening the weak areas of the brain with appropriate fuel and stimulation
